I Tried Korean Flower Mouthwash
Yep, you read that right. I tried flower flavored mouthwash.
I’m not entirely sure what the heck I was expecting with this but when I saw it in the store I got excited. The only thing on my mind was “Wow! Strange Korean things. Let’s try it!” So I spent 2,000 won and bought it.
Then I got scared about trying it so it sat in my cabinet for a few weeks before I actually opened it.
Initially, I thought that it would still mostly taste like mints and only have a hint of a flower taste. It couldn’t be that bad because there are flower flavored teas, right???
This mouthwash starts of with a very faint mint taste. There is no burning like with strong mint flavors like Listerine. The flower taste is faint too…at first. Then after you gargle and spit, the taste of the flowers intensifies tenfold and it tastes like I just crushed up a heap of flowers, threw them in a cup of water, and swallowed the whole cup in one go. Petals, dirt and all.
It was absolutely gross and all I could do was try and find ways to get the taste out my mouth. More water? Juice? Milk? Brush my teeth again? Something! Just get these darn flowers out my mouth.
Needless to say, I threw the rest of the bottle away.
